HELPFUL INFORMATION TO START THE
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
We know it feels like summer just started, but believe it or not, school will be back in session in just over a month. Over the next few weeks, NPS custodial staff will be wrapping up summer maintenance projects, building principals and secretaries will be returning to their offices, and teachers will be preparing to welcome students to their classrooms on the first day of school. To help our Miner families prepare for the new school year, the 2026-2027 school year calendar and other useful information is shared here.
Both Lakeview Elementary School and Negaunee Middle School hold Open House events and have suggested student supply lists - see below.

Negaunee High School does not hold an Open House or have a list of suggested supplies - the high school is open for students to visit two weeks prior to the first day of school M-F, during office hours. Students in grades 9-12 should have the supplies they need for success (pens, pencils, folders, notebooks, etc.), and can bring them to their locker on or before the first day of school.
